TODAY IN 7B: WEEKLY MASS WITH 4B ENGLISH 7: took U.9 Vocabulary Tests; corrected Appositive & Comma HW ENGLISH 8: took U.9 Vocabulary Tests; corrected text Appositive & Comma HW LITERATURE: students re-read "My Furthest-Back Relative" by Alex Haley and took an open book assessment  FAMILY LIFE: Wellness Presentations  BLACK HISTORY MONTH: students began independent research on their person of interest COPELAND HOMEWORK: 8TH GRADE EXTRA CREDIT: 1/2 page (single spaced) paper on the value of knowing proper speech. Please try to reference My Fair Lady in your discussion.

TODAY IN 7B: SLE OF THE MONTH: Lizzy VandeHei as Global Ambassador  ACCELERATED READING TIME ENGLISH 7-1 BLOCK: students were given time to work on U.9 Vocabulary Workshop; capitalization and commas review/practice ENGLISH 8-1 BLOCK: Audio-into, Choosing the Right Word, Syn & Antonyms for U.9 done with the teacher; Comma review and practice pp.650-657 FAMILY LIFE: class read section on Wellness (Mind/Body/Spirit) and did "The Empty Well" activity LITERATURE: class read "My Furthest-Back Person" by Alex Haley and answered reflective questions COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 7-1: finish U.9 Completing the Sentence; finish English HW on Google Classroom ENGLISH 8-1: finish pp. 650-657 (ODDS ONLY)---remember that you must bring a hard copy to class (so if you typed it, print it) LITERATURE: finish questions regarding "My Furthest-Back Person" and Black History
