TODAY IN 7B: ENGLISH 7: U.3 Vocab Pop Quiz--taken, corrected, and recorded; students submitted Shakespeare Newspaper; class recounted summary & read the translated version of ACT II of A Midsummer Night's Dream before listening to it in proper form ENGLISH 8: U.3 Vocab Pop Quiz--taken, corrected, and recorded; students submitted Ch 8 PEEL outlines; class read Ch 9 of The Devil's Arithmetic and worked with Tone, Foreshadowing, and Allusion (packet pages) HOMEWORK: Officially none, HOWEVER, some of you need to make significant progress in your AR Reading Goal and/or practice your U.3 Vocab Words online. Do NOT *waste* an opportunity to let your brain catch up so that you can have a smooth week to come.  See you at the Fall Festival!!

TODAY IN 7B: RELIGION & DONUTS: Day II of working on GoogleSlide presentation on prayer ENGLISH/LITERATURE: in honor of Ray Bradbury (inspiration for many Twilight Zones) students enjoyed "Alone At Last," "The Masks," and "Serving Man" ENG 8: The Devil's Arithmetic Ch.1-7 Test (students allowed to use packet); time given to complete U.3 Synonyms & Antonyms; many students started tonight's homework (found on Google Classroom) ART: Monet experience and art created MUSIC Homework for 10-3-18: RELIGION: finish GoogleSlides on Prayer & Forms of Prayer (to be used as a review/study guide for tomorrow's test) ENGLISH 8: U.3 This Just In due tomorrow BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS @ 7:45 AM                       and all-school mass at 8:15 AM

As of 3:20 PM on Tuesday, 10/2, OUR FIELD TRIP IS CANCELLED.  I am so so sorry. We just got word that the thunderstorms storms are increasing to 90% chance and the mountain site is not safe for bus loads of children. Bring your Chromebooks to school tomorrow. TODAY IN 7B: SLE STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Demyan Dao was honored as our Faith-filled Catholic Student of the Month AR READING ENGLISH 7: Audio-intro to U.3 Vocab Words; rest of period dedicated to finishing Shakespearean Newspapers ENGLISH 8: Audio-intro to U.3 Vocab Words; rest of period dedicated to finishing Ch 7 Discussion Question & Devil's Arithmetic packet  RELIGION: students attempted to make corrections on last Friday's test (with use of text) and then received answers from teacher; class began notes on 5 types of prayer LITERATURE: Pre-Reading Warm-up and vocabulary activity  ORGANIZATION (time to go through binder and locker and tidy up) HOMEWORK:  AR READING: all students should be 55% to goal (20+ pts) by Friday.  ENGLISH 7: be close to finishing your Shakespearean Newspaper ENGLISH 8: Ch. 7 Discussion Question & D.A.
