TODAY IN 7B: WEEKLY MASS ENGLISH 7: students worked independently on Wonder Board assignments (see Google Classroom) ENGLISH 8: MLA Research Writing/Peer Critiques/Revising/Editing and finally publishing!! Excellent work 8th grade! I am very pleased with your continued efforts on this research paper and proud of the fine work you are submitting. You made my day :) LITERATURE: 7A & 7B watched the movie Wonder and enjoyed snacks (compliments of Mr. Wally)  COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 7 & 8: U.8 VOCAB TEST ON TUESDAY SOME OF YOU ARE STILL WORKING---PER OUR AGREEMENT. KEEP IT UP! I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THE RESULTS NEXT WEEK.

TODAY IN 7B: STUDENTS TOOK 2ND TRIMESTER STAR MATH TEST ENGLISH 7: classes took U.8 Spelling Test; tutorial given by Michael M. on how to format TIME magazine assignment; rest of class spent on TIME assignment OR Wonder chapters ENGLISH 8-2: U.8 Spelling Test; handout and video on how to insert Parenthetical Citations into MLA research paper  ART MUSIC RELIGION: students given time to complete Family Life U.1 Review (test tomorrow) COPELAND HOMEWORK: RELIGION: finish and study Family Life U.1 Review for tomorrow's test (pretty much the same format and information, so preparation=success) ENGLISH 7: continue work on TIME Magazine Cover assignment & Julian's Chapter (both due Friday) ENGLISH 8: continue work on MLA Research Revisions---Complete Draft due Friday

TODAY IN 7B: PE ENGLISH 7: students completed & corrected U.8 Vocabulary; 7-2 took & corrected a U.8 Spelling Practice Test; time given to work on Wonder Alternative Ending BLOCK ENGLISH 8-1: students completed & corrected U.8 Vocabulary; some students took extra time to study words and/or take practice spelling tests; handout received and video watched on MLA Parenthetical Citation; students were given time to begin inserting proper MLA citations RELIGION: class worked diligently on Family Life U.1 Review (due Wednesday by 3:00 pm) SPANISH LITERATURE: creative writing---writing alternative chapters for Wonder COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 7: review words for U.8 Spelling Test; finish Wonder "Alternative Ending" (1 1/2 double spaced minimum) ENGLISH 8-1: go to Google Classroom for assignment DUE TOMORROW (follow the directions please)
