LAETARE SUNDAY--4th Sunday of Lent TODAY IN 7B: WEEKLY MASS ENGLISH 7: time to finish p.639, corrected & submitted in class; announced HW assignment  ENGLISH 8: 8-1 completed the Social Media Debate (excellent job!!); watched social media TED Talk; students met to identify key traits of persuasive speech; took collective notes of the What makes a good speaker, submitted results to Google Classroom RELIGION: submitted Reach Out projects; took Ch.4 Test LITERATURE: time to work on packet and read I Will Always Write Back in class STATIONS OF THE CROSS: hosted by 5th grade COPELAND HOMEWORK:  ENGLISH 7: bring a printed out comic strip (4 frames of dialogue between two people) ENGLISH 8: finish U.13 "Completing the Sentence" AND the Infinitive handout; send notes of Persuasive Speaking to GC
TODAY IN 7B: RELIGION--time to work on Reach Out Projects ENGLISH 7: U.12 Synonyms; Expert Presentations ENGLISH 8: U.12 Synonyms; submit 5x & Debate Outlines; notes on Ethos, Pathos, & Logos; students separated in Pro/Con groups and picked Debate Reps. ART MUSIC COPELAND HOMEWORK: RELIGION: work to finish Reach Out Project ENGLISH 8: prepare for debate

TODAY IN 7B: PE ENGLISH 7: U.13 "Choosing the Right Word" and U.13 Spelling Pretest + 5x each; Expert Presentations ENGLISH 8: U.13 Spelling Pretest + 5x each; Argumentative vs. Persuasive Writing mini-review; Debate Outline (for tomorrow) RELIGION: corrected last night's HW; students used corrected work to complete Quizlets for vocabulary and a map for study SPANISH FINISH EXPERT PRESENTATIONS LITERATURE: I Will Always Write Back COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 8: finish U.13 Choosing the Right Word; complete Debate Outline for use in class tomorrow RELIGION: finish Quizlet cards & study map of the Holy Land
