WELCOME TO 2ND TRIMESTER!!  WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY: PE ENGLISH 7-1: completed 5 Paragraph Argumentative Essay and submitted 1st Draft to GC ENGLISH 7-2: worked on formatting Introduction Paragraph and began writing Supporting Body Paragraphs ENGLISH 8-1: completed Evaluating Online Sources presentations; received MLA Research Topics and completed Quoting/Paraphrasing/Summarizing handout COPELAND HW:  EVERYONE: work on U.6 Vocab and Spelling (tests next week) ENGLISH 7-2 ONLY: complete your hand-written Introduction, 1st Supporting Body Paragraph, and 2nd Supporting Body Paragraph---submit to teacher tomorrow ENGLISH 8-1: begin "exploring" your MLA Research Paper topic (remember to copy any worthy URL's that you can use later)

MONDAY & TUESDAY in 7B: AR READING/PE (respectively) ENGLISH 7: students were given the chance to clear 1st Trimester work from binders and organize current papers; teacher led in depth lesson (with practice) on Argument Writing---the Introduction, 2 Supporting Body Paragraphs, the Counterclaim Body Paragraph (7-2 only finished the Introduction) ENGLISH 8: students worked in their MLA groups to finish "Evaluating Online Sources" poster and then evaluated a given website (1/2 authentic and 1/2 bogus); teacher explained HW for researching the Holocaust to find 5 subtopics (one WILL BE a research topic) RELIGION: students continued work on their Service Projects COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 7 & 8: work independently on U.6 Vocab and Spelling Words ENGLISH 8: go to Google Classroom and complete the assignment ANYONE WHO DID NOT GET AN 80% OR BETTER ON U.5 SPELLING/VOCAB MAY RETAKE IT BY REQUEST ON THURSDAY, 11/29.
