TODAY IN 7B: ALL SAINTS' DAY MASS with Fr. Ryan + prayer ribbon tying after mass ENGLISH 7-2: U.4 Spelling & Vocab Test: students began reading the English translation of ACT V for A Midsummer Night's Dream ENGLISH 8-2: corrected U.4 "Completing the Sentence"; were scolded for not reading the blog (reprieved due to short week & Halloween last night); watched the movie version of The Devil's Arithmetic DAR LUNCH MEETING--shared primary source propaganda and video timeline (Thank you Mallory & Gina!!) SPANISH LITERATURE: re-read "Seventh Grade" by Gary Soto & "Stolen Day" by Sherwood Anderson---then took OPEN BOOK Literary Analysis Test COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 8-2: you know what you need to do to be prepared for Monday.  You're welcome. -__-

TODAY IN 7B: LITERATURE ENGLISH 7-1: U.4 Spelling Test and Vocabulary Test; class finished listening to the Shakespearean version of A Midsummer Night's Dream and spent the rest of class working on the ACT V Packet ENGLISH 8-1: U.4 Spelling Test and Vocabulary Test; then 8th graders spent the class watching the movie version of The Devil's Arithmetic (while taking Venn Diagram notes comparing and contrasting the novel to the movie) FIRE DRILL TWILIGHT ZONE HOUR! (no Art today) MUSIC COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 7-2 AND 8-2: you have U.4 Spelling & Vocab Tests tomorrow (8-2 your PEELS are due tomorrow---but they should already be done)

"HALLOWEEN FREE DRESS"* TOMORROW *NON-SCARY Halloween themed t-shirts, items, or black/orange clothing.  TODAY IN 7B: RELIGION PE ENGLISH 7-2 BLOCK: class completed & corrected U.4 Vocab "Completing the Sentence"; students finish reading the English translation of Act V in  A Midsummer Night's Dream ENGLISH 8-2 BLOCK: class finished reading The Devil's Arithmetic by Jane Yolen & took corresponding AR Test; students completed and submitted Literary Packet for text; some students worked on U.4 Completing the Sentence   RELIGION class finished U.1, Ch.3 on Gospel of John, The Trinity, and the light of Christ present at Creation--viewed video by Bishop Baron and God of Wonders SPANISH DIA DE LOS MUERTOS: with Mrs. Botas in 7A COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 7-1 & 8-1: study for U.4 Spelling Test and Vocab Test tomorrow!! 

TODAY IN 7B: AR TIME & PROGRESS CHECK ENGLISH 7-1 BLOCK: class completed & corrected U.4 Vocab "Completing the Sentence"; students finish reading the English translation of Act V in A Midsummer Night's Dream ENGLISH 8-1 BLOCK: class finished reading The Devil's Arithmetic by Jane Yolen & took corresponding AR Test; students completed and submitted Literary Packet for text; some students worked on U.4 Completing the Sentence RELIGION: students filled out prayer ribbons & received pencils as a gift from a parishioner; class read 1st part of U.1, Ch.3 God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit--then went outside for 20 minutes to reflect and journal in the fresh air DAY ENDED WITH STUDY HALL COPELAND HOMEWORK: ENGLISH 7-2: study & know definitions for ACT IV vocab from A Midsummer Night's Dream for tomorrows 20pt quiz ENGLISH 8-1: finish U.4 "Completing the Sentence"; finish PEELs for rest of book.
